Data Privacy Assurance in Management Information System through Cyber Security Measures

In the digital age, safeguarding data within Management Information Systems (MIS) is critical. This study investigates the influence of cyber security measures on data privacy assurance in MIS. Drawing from the Information System Theory, the research examines encryption techniques, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. The literature underscores the importance of robust cyber security measures. Encryption techniques, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems play pivotal roles in data privacy assurance. Hypotheses are formulated based on theoretical underpinnings and prior research. Methodologically, a stratified random sampling technique gathers data from diverse organizations, resulting in 67 responses. SMART PLS 4 analyzes data considering the exploratory nature of the study. Results reveal the significant impact of encryption techniques and intrusion detection systems on data privacy assurance. Encryption techniques exhibit a positive relationship, while firewalls contribute modestly. A counterintuitive negative relationship between intrusion detection systems and data privacy assurance prompts further investigation. These findings emphasize the multifaceted nature of data privacy assurance in MIS. Organizations are encouraged to leverage encryption techniques and enhance firewall strategies. The unexpected negative impact of intrusion detection systems highlights the complex dynamics of security. This study contributes to discussions on data privacy and security in organizational contexts. Future research should explore underlying mechanisms behind counterintuitive relationships and the intersection of technology and security in MIS

Influence of Leukotriene Pathway Polymorphism on Responsiveness to Montelukast, Budesonide Plus Formoterol in Patients with Asthma

Variability between patients in response to montelukast, and budesonide / formoterol inhalation powder may be related to genetic variation and non-genetic factors. this paper aims to determine association between polymorphism in leukotriene pathway candidate gene with lung function outcomes in Iraqi patients with asthma receiving montelukast, budesonide plus formoterol inhaler in comparison with healthy control. This research was done on a study group of 80 Baghdad-based Iraqi patients. 40 asthmatic patients receiving montelukast were in the first group, while 40 asthmatic patients on budesonide / formoterol inhalation powder (160/4.5mcg/dose) were in the second group. Screening for the presence of ALOX5 rs2115819, LTA4H rs2660845 and CysLTR1 rs320995 SNPs allelic variants genes were determined using conventional PCR technique and sequencing. In montelukast group, the % change in FEV1 in patients with the GG genotype for ALOX5 (rs2115819) SNP were significantly improved after montelukast intake compared with those carrying AA or AG genotypes. For budesonide / formoterol inhalation powder patients group, the included polymorphism had no significant association with the %change in FEV1. As a conclusion Asthmatic patients carrying AA genotype for ALOX5 rs2115819 may not achieved the optimal response to montelukast treatment. Budesonide / formoterol inhalation powder cannot be used effectively in patients with ALOX5 rs2115819 polymorphism.

The study of kin terminology in Arabic has always been a major focus of Arab legal scholars, sociologists and philologists. The main events of Human life are birth, marriage and death tend to occur within kin units in most societies. Though there are universal features of kin category, the expression of these features varies from culture to culture. it is culture in nature rather than a biological given. The goal of present study is to refer to the relations built up from links between father - grandfathers and their male children, blood relation which donates the relation from the mother in addition to the milk - kin in two distinct dialects the Maslawai and the Kuwaiti dialects. In this paper we present to non-Arabic readers the Maslawi and Kuwaiti dialect as examples of how Arabic societies kinship divide, showing some similarities and difference in terms of kin terms themselves to enrich the investigations that prove the richness of Arabic language upon other languages used worldwide

This research covers the zone between Iraq and Iran. The ﬁrst investigated region is the 'Mesopotamian Marshes' or Iraqi-Iran Marshes, it's a wetland zone located in southern Iraq and partly in southwestern Iran. The other region is a desert district which includes a prominent part of the southern and western parts of Iraq and part of Iran. The last is the center city of Basra. The building materials were the most important building element that affected the conformation of vernacular habitats In this study, we needed to focus on the effects of ecological and energy-efficiency processes in creating vernacular habitats and the selection of optimal building systems and materials in this part of the world which can be an essential point for sustainable environmental building processes in the future. Reeds, clay, straw, bricks, and wood were the most popular building materials used by builders from this region. The impact of building material on the environment embodies the essential method implicitly signiﬁcant in this research to effectively determine traditional building materials in the environment in addition to comparative analysis which presents an essential factor of our analysis in addition to the impact of environments on building systems. The main target of this study is to beneﬁt designers and building engineers in their pursuit to ﬁnd optimal and competent solutions suitable for speciﬁc local microclimates using traditional methods in the design process that are sustainable and ecological.

A Study of Some Immunological and Hematological Aspects in Children with Renal Disease

This study was carried out between September 17, and December 25, 2023. It included 62 pediatric patients at the age range (1-12) years of both genders: 26 with chronic renal failure (CRF) and 36 with nephrotic syndrome (NS), who were outpatients and in-patients in the dialysis unit in both Al-Mansour pediatric teaching hospital and Child's central teaching hospital. The control group consisted of 26 children. Blood samples were collected from patients and controls. Immunological tests of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and erythropoietin (Epo) measurement were done by using ELISA technique. Biochemical tests, including blood urea and serum creatinine, were applied to evaluate renal function. Hematological aspects referred to anemia presence or not; by measuring PCV and Hb. The results explained significant increase in serum IL-6 levels (P<0.001), significant decrease in serum Epo levels (P<0.001), significant increase in both urea and creatinine concentrations (P<0.001) in serum and significant decrease in both PCV and Hb (P<0.001) in NS and CRF patients in comparison with the control group

This paper presented a systematic literature review SLR to get an overview about the current studies of distinct criteria for performance evaluating the websites and each criteria is explored briefly to give the basic idea behind it. In general, the paper’s objective is to give an up-to-date introduction and short review of these criteria . A Systematic literature review is implemented according to the guidelines of performing a SLR in software engineering. The study was based on a comprehensive set of papers gathered from the online libraries published within time span 2010 to 2022 . The results from this SLR include information about the criteria for evaluating the performance of the multi-level web according to previous research, which was divided into applicable sub-criteria, and then the latter was divided into measurable indicators. within a specific period that can help researchers in this field through providing an overview of the current researches in this area. Study of Biochemical Parameters in Major Thalassemia Patients

Thalassemia is a genetic disorder that affects the production of hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in red blood cells. This disorder alters some blood and biochemical parameters, leading to anemia and other complications. We conducted a study on 120 thalassemia patients from the Thalassemia Center at Baghdad Hospital in Iraq, from April 2022 to March 2023. The patients had an average age of 13 ± 3.5 years. We measured their hematological and biochemical parameters and compared them with healthy controls. We found that the patients had lower levels of red blood cells (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), and packed cell volume (PCV) than the controls, and higher levels of glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT), glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (GPT), alkaline phosphatase, and urea. The differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). Our study shows the impact of thalassemia on blood and biochemical parameters and highlights the need for effective treatment and management of this disorder.
